Introduction

Nepal India Friendship Association (NIFA) was established in 1954 under the chairmanship of Madhav Prasad Ghimire aiming to develop the centuries old close relationship of the people of Nepal and India. Relationship between Nepal and India is strong and sweet because of common religion, culture, art, literature, language and traditions.

NIFA has been working in different field of social service and mankind with the help of Indian Embassy and Nepal Government celebrating important national days and occasions of both countries every year. NIFA has expanded its branches in 73 districts and sub-branches in different 43 districts; and it has more than 8 thousand life members all over the country.
